HIIT is a fast paced cardiovascular exercise routine designed to define and sculpt your body at the same time as boosting metabolism, burning calories and fat.  It is a training technique in which you give all-out, one hundred percent effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods.
